The history of L'Atelier Nuanua
Arriving in Bora Bora in 2008, Lucie brought with her exceptional jewelry-making skills, dedicated to creating unique pieces. A graduate of a Brevet des Métiers d'Art in jewelry-making, she had already distinguished herself in 2004 by winning the gold medal for Best Apprentice in France (Cher department) and the silver medal for the Centre region.
Exceptional expertise
She then honed her skills at the prestigious Gay Frères workshops, creating the Alhambra collections for Van Cleef & Arpels and jewelry for Louis Vuitton. In Bora Bora, she perfected her art in luxury jewelry stores, creating from scratch exceptional jewelry adorned with Tahitian pearls.
The birth of the workshop
Eight years later, in September 2016, she decided to fulfill her dream by founding her own workshop: L’Atelier Nuanua (Nuanua meaning “elegant” in Tahitian). This intimate and welcoming space is designed as a true creative cocoon, where Lucie designs unique, high-end pieces as well as affordable costume jewelry, allowing everyone to find a piece of jewelry handcrafted to suit their style and budget.

In December 2022, Laurie joined Lucie at the Nuanua workshop, forming a close-knit and complementary duo dedicated to creating unique pieces. Lucie, a passionate designer, imagines and crafts each piece of jewelry around the Tahitian pearl. At her side, Laurie, a Tahitian pearl specialist since 2017, highlights these exceptional pieces and kindly guides you in your choices, respecting your desires and your budget. Present at every stage of the creative process, Laurie knows the history of each pearl and will be happy to share it with you. Her expert eye and attentive ear transform your visit into a truly human encounter.
